Aoife La Rocque
Graphic/ Digital Designer
I love coming up with clever and thoughtful design solutions.
As a designer, I visually communicate through various mediums such as; illustration, typography, video and motion. While I have found my strengths in creating unique brand identities, my skills and interests span across all areas of design.

My degree and courses in both Graphic design and Film have equipped me with a broad and adaptable skillset that I can carry across a variety of projects.
Feel free to browse through my portfolio, and get in touch if you have a project in mind that you’d like to explore together.
Animated Music Video - 'Candidate 'by Caoilian Sherlock
I created this fun stylized retro psychedelic music video for Cork musician Caoilian Sherlock's single 'Candidate'.
CFB Pro/ TCGP Subscription Ad
I recently was given a brief to create a Youtube ad to promote the merging of two companies under one subscription. I was responsible for writing the VO script, storyboards and execution in After Effects, which the creative director gave their final approval on.
Graphic Designer at Channelfireball
My work at ChannelFireball has primarily been on graphic design, though I have also worked in motion design, video editing, storyboarding, and campaign planning. This diversity of projects has given me the chance to work between both the marketing and content teams, and I have had the opportunity to lead several projects from storyboard to final delivery. Some of the most notable projects I’ve been a part of are helping develop the branding for both ChannelFireball and BinderPOS, video advertisements for Card Shop Live, CFB Pro and PCG, and a number of graphics including banners, social media posts, thumbnails, logos and more.
Ballygobackwards Branding
For my final year project, I created a brand and promotional campaign for an unapologetically Irish café and festival. The Ballygobackwards brand is inspired by Irish culture and humour. It aims to provide a nostalgic familiarity to those who have grown up in Ireland and showcase it to those who haven’t. The design combines Irish – Kitsch with punk and contemporary design. Just like some questionable retro fabrics and patterns, the Ballygobackwards brand is flamboyant, playful and ‘unapologetic’.
Arthur Maynes Branding
This was a solo college project to rebrand one of Cork's heritage pubs. I was given Arthur Maynes to rebrand and. I decided to embrace the vintage pharmacy theme and took a lot of influence from a victorian apothecary design in the illustrations and type. I also used a bit of humour in the tone of voice for the brand which you will see in the menu and other elements of the design.
Mcloughlin & Son Branding
This was another group project where we worked with an existing painting and decorating company.  McGloughlin & Son are a family-run business that gave us a lot to work with. Our main purpose was to freshen up their logo and visual language but to retain the tone of the companies values and professional craftsmanship.
